Breeding restrictions Rumpy Manx/Cymric to Rumpy Manx/Cymric not permitted       Manx cats to be used for breeding should be given a health screen by a veterinary practitioner and certified free of any overt physical or health defects e.g. intestinal or neurological defects. A signed letter from the veterinarian stating that the cat is free from any overt health issues, including urinary or faecal incontinence is to be submitted to the GCCF. This can be submitted with the certificate or entirety for males and a copy of the letter submitted with the kitten registration documents for females.

White Manx must be BAER tested and confirmed fully hearing in both ears before they can be registered Active (for breeding).

Special notes Rumpy Riser  (a rise of bone at the end of the spine which does not stop the hand)

Cats with one or two tailbones will be registered as Stumpy Manx (maximum length of tail 3cm).
    Manx having at least three generations of MAN/CYM 51,52,53 and 54 prior to the actual cat must be registered in the LO registry.

Manx having MAN 54 in its pedigree in one or more of the three generations prior to the cat in question, will be registered in the LO pedigree book.

MAN 51 = Manx Rumpy.

MAN 52 = Manx Rumpy Riser

MAN 53 = Manx Stumpy

MAN 54 = Tailed Manx – only allowed for breeding purposes not allowed for showing.
Only shorthair, tailless Manx (MAN 51, MAN 52) are currently recognised by the Standard of Points for showing purposes. none none none
